Midwest Train Works offers a complete line of rolling stock, both in kit form with or without trucks, and in finished ready-to-run versions. We offer two types of kits:

A 'E-Z' version which comes with the body painted and lettered1, includes all detail parts which you must paint and attach to the body. Some drilling is required, but no tapping.

A 'craftsman' version which comes with the body primed. Some drilling, tapping, filing, and assembly of some detail parts is required, as well as painting and attaching the detail parts to the body.

The craftsman kit provides extra fun for the builder at a lower cost, the E-Z kit has the 'harder' work done for those who aren't sure they have the time or ability to complete the extra steps. All necessary fasteners are included with both types of kit.

1" Scale Railroad Supply couplers (and optionally trucks) are provided, but must be assembled by you.

Ready-to-Run versions of cars can be provided, which require no assembly.
